Events and Clubs

Birdingbury is a thriving village with many social activities, gatherings, and
club events throughout the year. Regular Events and Clubs are listed below while the Village Diary is available on the right-hand sidebar.

If you need a meeting room or place to hold an event, why not try The Birbury – the village community meeting room. The Birbury Management Committee is responsible for the upkeep of the facility and arrangement of bookings.  Please contact Jackie Westcott if you would like to book the room.

Regular Events and Clubs:

Allotment Association : we have very productive allotments for rent (when vacancies occur). The Association holds a Produce Show in conjunction with Birdingbury Club each September.

Angling Club : this is a sub-section of Birdingbury Club and has use of the River Leam running through the village. Away venues are also booked for some of the monthly contests.

Birdingbury History Group meets monthly to research and develop our knowledge of the village and its history. Follow the link to our page to find out more about what we have been up to including access to our photo archive. If you would like to join us or have any material (e.g. photos, maps, documents, artefacts etc) that you think might be of interest please contact us at: birdingburyhistory@hotmail.co.uk

Birdingbury Wheelers: Birdingbury’s own social cycling during the summer months around local country lanes. Great opportunity to get fit, enjoy the scenery and have a chat. Usually starts in May. Meet outside the Club at 19.00.

Bourton & District Garden Club:  Established in 2003, the Garden Club is for like-minded local people to share their interest in gardening and the surrounding countryside. Meets on the last Thursday of each month at Bourton Village Hall at 7.30 (except August and December). All new members welcome to join or come as a guest.

Ladies Circle : a monthly get together for the ladies of the village normally held on the second Tuesday of the month (excepting July & August) at 7.45 pm in the Birbury. A guest speaker, a cup of coffee and a good natter.

Leamington Hastings Music/Concerts: We are very fortunate to have this resource so close to us. Please have a look at the webage for up-to-date information on the year’s concerts and the excellent musicians who will be performing.

Swap Shop: A weekly Saturday gathering at The Birbury at 10.30am. Please bring apples/pears/bits and pieces of produce/jams/chutneys – basically anything that you are keen to pass on to others – but most importantly, there’s a cafetiere, some lovely cake, and a chance for a chat!
