BIRDINGBURY PARISH COUNCIL
 SPECIAL NOTICE: COVID-19 (CORONAVIRUS)

The single most important action we can all take, in fighting coronavirus, is to stay at home in order to protect the NHS and save lives.

When we reduce our day-to-day contact with other people, we will reduce the spread of the infection. That is why the government has introduced three new measures.

  1. Requiring people to stay at home, except for very limited purposes
  2. Closing non-essential shops and community spaces
  3. Stopping all gatherings of more than two people in public

BIRDINGBURY PARISH COUNCIL IS FOLLOWING GOVERNMENT GUIDANCE ON IMPLEMENTING THESE RULES BY:

 1. CANCELLING THE LITTER PICK (due to take place on 28th March)
2. CANCELLING THE ANNUAL VILLAGE MEETING (due to be held on 28th April)
3.ASKING THAT YOU DO NOT USE THE PLAY EQUIPMENT ON THE RECREATION FIELD

The Recreation Field remains available for exercise, but please remember to stay 2 metres away from people who are not members of your household.

If you are at risk or self-isolating and you need any help with shopping, dog walking, etc. please contact the Chair (Guy French; guyfrenchpc@gmail.com), or Karen Armbrister of the PCC who has a list of volunteers able to assist.
